About
Public construction projects near you. This site collects capital and infrastructure projects that cities already publish, puts them on one page per ZIP code, and orders them so the things worth knowing about are at the top.
Where the data comes from
Entirely from cities’ own open-data feeds — open data portals, public GIS servers, and public project pages. Nothing is scraped from behind a login and nothing is bought. Each project page names the feed it came from and links to the city’s own page where one exists.
How the ranking works
Each project gets a 0–100 score from four things: how large it is, how far along it is, whether work is imminent, and whether anything about it has changed recently. Distance matters, but only mildly — a nearby sidewalk repair should not outrank a major corridor rebuild a mile further out. Every card can show its own reasoning; open “Why this rank?”.
Duplicates
Cities sometimes publish the same job through two feeds at different levels of detail. Where we can tell that has happened, those records are shown as one card with every record listed underneath, and the fields are combined so nothing is lost. We group them; we never quietly delete one.
What this is not
It is not an official source, it is not affiliated with any city or agency, and it is not complete. Dates and budgets are whatever the city last published, which is frequently out of date at the city’s end. Confirm with the city before relying on anything here.
12,104 projects across 14 feeds. Data as of 2026-11-01.
